Fashion Spotlight: Eric Walsworth

Junior Eric Walsworth approaches fashion with an understated purpose and a clear sense of self.

“My style is more formal than most, but it's just because I don't really like jeans and sweatshirts and stuff,” he said.

While most students lean casual, Eric gravitates toward sweaters, structured layers, and intentionality.

“I feel like I've always liked dressing up a little,” he said. “I used to wear suits every day, but that was way too much.”

Though he doesn’t rely heavily on inspiration, he’s always appreciated the effortless sophistication of Chris Evans’ character, Ransom Drysdale, in Knives Out.

Eric’s staple stores include Macy’s, TJ Maxx, JCPenney, and thrift stores, where he looks for classic, wearable pieces—his current favorite being the featured light blue Ralph Lauren sweater that’s been on repeat.

“I’ve probably been wearing it a little too frequently, though,” he said.

Fashion is simple, yet meaningful to Eric.

“It’s the way you present yourself to the world,” he said. “If you meet someone new, what you're wearing is their first impression of you.”

Though he dresses more casually around friends, he ensures he shows up polished to school.

“I think my style says that I put time into what I wear and I usually look put together, even when I’m not.”
