Hi SJHS! My name is Asil Khizar, and I’m a senior. This year, I’ll be the Co-editor in chief for the Wind Up. This will be my fourth year as a “high school journalist” and I'm excited to interact with our student body. Outside of school, I enjoy going to the gym and hanging out with friends. After SJHS I plan on going to college to work towards becoming a lawyer. I'm excited for all the great things ahead!

Hey everyone! My name is Samaika Singh, and I’m a senior this year. This is my third year as a high school journalist, and I’m excited to serve as the Co-Editor in Chief on the Wind Up staff. I’ve always loved being in front of a camera, conducting interviews, designing, and being creative. Currently, I’m involved in swimming, Key Club, robotics, and the News Team. I’m looking forward to a fantastic year ahead!

Hello! I’m Willow DeLong, and I am the managing editor of the Wind-Up. This is my second year in a journalism class, but my first in Wind-Up. During the fall, I play school volleyball, and from winter to summer I play travel volleyball at Dunes Volleyball Club in Laporte, Indiana. When I’m not playing volleyball, I enjoy spending time with my friends and riding my electric scooter around town. I am so excited to finally be a part of the official Wind-Up staff this year.

Hi! I’m Elle Parker, a sophomore, and I’m this year’s Literary Magazine editor. This is my first year on the Wind-Up staff and my second year in journalism class. I love writing and literature, so I’m very excited to combine those both by writing for the newspaper and putting together the Lit Mag. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, listening to music, and hanging out with friends. I’m very much looking forward to continuing to write articles and helping to put together Wind-Up issues that the student body loves!

I’m Marcus Walsh, a senior at Saint Joseph High School. This is my first year on the Wind-up staff and I'm eager to write. Theater is a big part of my life both on and off stage with the school's theater program and Twin City Players. After high school, my plan is to attend Western University to study art education. I believe journalism is important even on smaller scales because everyone deserves the right to information about the world around them.

Hello! My name is Grace Sheldon and this is my first year as Wind-Up staff. I am a senior this year and I am very passionate about creative writing and journalism. I’m excited to put myself out there and to meet and hear from everyone! Outside of school, I love to sew, paint, listen to new music as well as participating in Stage Crew for school productions–I’m a big lover of the arts. Next year I plan on attending LMC then to MSU with the hopes of becoming a family therapist. I’m ready to get to work and I can’t wait to see what I will bring to the Wind-Up 26-27!
