Epic Universe Expands Universal’s Theme Park Empire

We’ve all heard the raves of the countless Disney parks, but what about their biggest rival? Universal recently opened a new park only five minutes away from its two current ones, and it's completely changing the theme park game.

Epic Universe recently opened in Orlando, Florida, and opened to the public only a few months ago. The special thing about this park is that it's not just one park, but four in one. Epic Universe includes Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, Isle of Berk, and the Ministry of Magic.

For those interested in going to Orlando for spring break but who can’t handle the mushiness of Walt Disney World, Epic Universe is the park for you. With four parks in one, there's bound to be something for everyone. Horror fans can make their way to Dark Universe and experience all the classic monsters of Hollywood, along with the rides included in the park.

“I don't really think it's needed, but I definitely think it's such a cool addition. I used to be a huge Harry Potter nerd when I was little, and I grew up with Mario as well, so it'll be so awesome to go through a land that looks just like the media I grew up on,” Lilly Dahlke, 12 said. “I also love roller coasters and water parks, so I'm excited to spend a week there [for spring break].”

There are so many different vacation spots in the U.S., but personally, theme parks will always be my favorite. The themed areas and whimsical animatronics always do it for me. You might be saying, “But when I'm on vacation, I want to relax!” and I'm here to tell you—you still can. Whether it's by the pool at your hotel or taking a day trip to the beach, nothing is stopping you from taking time to relax and regroup from your busy life. Having the option to go to a theme park like Epic Universe will always win my vote.
